A Political Science lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr Kwame Asah-Asante, believes that President John Mahama is prepared to do serious business looking at his ministerial appointments so far.

According to Dr Asah-Asante, from various perspectives, he has sensed the president's intention to act swiftly and efficiently without delay. "I think that the President is ready to do business and looking at so many perspectives, you can understand that he has hit the ground running," he remarked.

His comments came after the president released a list of ministerial nominees to key sectors, including the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, and Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment.

The first three were the nominations for Finance, Energy and Ministry of Justice and Attorney General.
