The Accra Circuit Court has sentenced 25-year-old Liberian graphic designer Daniel Ireland to 10 years in prison with hard labour for robbing a Bolt driver.
His 18-year-old American fiancée, Skylah Leeann Marine Travis, also admitted to the crime, but her sentencing was deferred pending a pregnancy test.
She will return to court on 20 January 2025 for sentencing.
The couple attacked the driver on 7 January 2025, stabbing him multiple times to steal his Toyota Corolla, two phones, and cash worth over GH¢171,000.
