One person has been killed and five motorbikes destroyed following a violent clash between youth from Wenchi Zongo and Nkonsia in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region on Sunday dawn. Reports say, three persons are currently being treated at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital's Emergency and Accident Unit. One of the victims, 21-year-old Alhassan Mohammed, who was rushed to the facility, however, died from the wounds he sustained. Narrating how the incident occurred, one of the victims, Ayuuba Adamu explained that he and his friends were attacked at Nkonsia, after a suspect attempted to snatch one of their phones, but he was overpowered, leading to the violence. The ensuing altercation resulted in Alhassan Mohammed being stabbed and another person who tried to save him sustaining injuries.
