On August 18, 2024, a 25-year-old man named Stanley Ahadzi was shot dead at the frontage of the Koans Estate in Satellite-Kuntunse, Adjen Kotoku in the Greater Accra Region. The Amasaman Division of the Ghana Police Service reported that the deceased was killed in a dispute over fare with a commercial driver who is also a police officer with the International Relations Directorate of the Ghana Police Service by the name Constable Smith Gyekyi. It has been confirmed by MyNewsGh.com that the deceased was not a passenger but had been invited by the passenger, Esther Owusua, whom suspect Smith Gyekyi had picked up from Ablekuma Joma to the Koans Estate area at Kuntunse Satellite.
