An Accra Circuit Court has sentenced a 20-year-old washing bay attendant from the Central Region to three years in prison for impersonation and unlawful possession of military uniform.

According to details of the information, in 2024, Alex Cobbina posted a video which was monitored by the Ghana Navy, in which he made comments alleging remarks attributed to President John Dramani Mahama about dismissing military recruits who entered the service through protocol arrangements. "Last year, Mr.
Cobbina posted a video of himself in a camouflage trouser and a naval vest, claiming to be a military officer on 'TikTok,' a social media platform," it noted.
