The founder and leader of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Rev. He pointed out that the high cost of electricity is largely due to the significant energy consumption by factories, along with issues like illegal connections, which further drive up costs for ordinary citizens. However, Osofo Kyiri-Abosom promised that he would shift electricity costs onto large-scale businesses and factories, allowing domestic users to enjoy free power if elected.
