Following the recent presidential transition, the Presidency Communications Office has issued a formal notice to all members of statutory boards, corporations, commissions, and councils appointed by the former President or a former Minister of State.

According to the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845), these members ceased to hold office on January 7, 2025, following the assumption of office by His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama.

The notice, dated January 13, 2025, serves as an official communication to all affected members, clarifying that this cessation does not apply to commissions that are independent constitutional creations.

The affected boards, commissions, councils, and statutory corporations will be reconstituted in due course according to their respective enabling laws.
