A Bishop and Coordinator of the High Church of Africa (HICA), Bishop Dr Nutifafa Takyi, has said the church has the responsibility to provide both the spiritual and physical needs of their followers in order to enable them to worship God with total commitment and willingness to propagate the gospel in a peaceful environment.
Bishop Dr Takyi stated that the church could not survive and propagate effectively the gospel if it only concentrated on the spiritual needs of members, hence addressing both the spiritual and physical needs of members to address their economic difficulties to reduce poverty and unemployment among the youth in the country.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of HICA Mineral Water factory at Agortime-Beh in the Agortime-Ziope District of the Volta Region, which also coincided with the two years anniversary of HICA and 64th anniversary of God's mission.
According to him, the mission of the church was to transform lives of people in the church and communities in the catchment areas, where the church was established, adding that the underground mechanised water system had the capacity to produce 10,000 litres of water a day as well as produced 1,500 bags of sachet water in eight hours.
