Bishop Sam Owusu has voiced his concerns about the questionable practices of certain prophets who deliver prophecies without genuine divine inspiration.

The founder of Pottersville Church shed light on the manipulative tactics some individuals employ to maintain their credibility as prophets. "Not everyone who calls themselves a prophet has the gift of prophecy," Bishop Owusu remarked on Asem FM monitored by MyNewsGH. "Some know they haven't heard from God but go ahead to make declarations. "When these prophecies don't come to pass in the expected timeline, they work behind the scenes to manipulate circumstances to make them happen." The Bishop explained that some of these prophets, aware of the pressure to meet expectations, engage in extreme fasting or other efforts to "force" their predictions to materialize.

This phenomenon, according to Bishop Owusu, is one of the reasons the credibility of prophecy has come under scrutiny.

He stressed that it is essential for Christians to discern between genuine divine messages and fabrications driven by self-interest or pressure to maintain relevance.
