The Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has told all parliamentary candidates (PCs) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and all the members of the party to go out and 'fight' for the party to ensure they win the presidential election and also more seats. He says the current Akufo-Addo administration struggled in parliament because of the even numbers in the House.. This should not happen again, he said. "Enough of the reconciliation, go out there and fight for the party," the Effutu Lawmaker said during the launch of the 2024 manifesto on Sunday, August in Takoradi. Afenyo-Markin further said that the running mate to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has the ability to help transform Ghana despite the effort by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to brand him as arrogant. He recounted that the NDC did the same to President Akufo-Addo when he was a candidate but that did not work. "We know you tagged Akufo-Addo also as arrogance but it didn't work He is ready to transform Ghana with arrogance," he said during the launch of the NPP manifesto on Sunday, August 18.
