The newly sworn-in Member of Parliament for Sekondi, Blay Nyameke Armah, has called on the people of Sekondi to rally behind him as he works to restore the city's former glory.
In an interview on Yɛn Nsɛmpa Morning Show with Nana Yaa Brefo Danso on Onua FM on Friday, the MP outlined his vision for the constituency, with a key focus on delivering on development promises and reviving the city's economy. "My topmost priority is to ensure that His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama fulfills his promise to build a new market for Sekondi," he stated. "This project is critical to bringing back the vibrant economic activities Sekondi was once known for." Blay Nyameke Armah highlighted that Sekondi has suffered from years of neglect due to a lack of leaders who prioritize the welfare of the people.
He expressed his gratitude for the confidence his constituents placed in him and vowed to justify their trust. "The people of Sekondi have lacked leaders with their welfare at heart for too long.
I do not take this responsibility lightly," he remarked.
