Ghana Premier League side Young Apostles have issued a statement distancing themselves from remarks made by club official Samuel Anim Addo regarding poor officiating in the league.

The experienced football administrator recently accused referee Maxwell Hanson of being the GFA's "man for dirty works" following complaints from Accra Lions over Hanson's officiating during their 1-0 loss to Dreams FC.

Anim Addo also alleged that the GFA had threatened to relegate Young Apostles after he criticized officiating standards in the league.

In their statement, Young Apostles clarified Anim Addo's role as a club official and firmly dissociated themselves from his comments.
