2nd AfroFlavour draws strong turnout, eyes annual cultural tradition

The second edition of AfroFlavour drew a strong turnout on September 5, bringing together African communities, the wider Frederick community and ors for a celebration of food, culture, music and entrepreneurship, as organizers look to establish the festival as an annual cultural and economic fixture in the region.

Held in downtown Frederick, the festival featured African foods and drinks, cultural exhibitions, fashion, music and dance, while providing African-owned businesses and local entrepreneurs with an opportunity to showcase their products and services.

The festival also attracted people encountering African food and culture for the first time, alongside members of the diaspora who welcomed seeing their heritage celebrated publicly in Frederick.
