A 48-year-old businessman, Jennings Tetteh Cole, accused of defrauding 18 rent seekers of over GH¢100,000, appeared before an Accra Circuit Court on Wednesday.
He faces 18 counts of defrauding by false pretenses but has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The complainants reportedly paid amounts ranging from GH¢3,000 to GH¢9,200 to the accused.
Jennings has been granted bail in the sum of GH¢150,000.
