Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, Ewurabena Aubynn, has spoken against the attack on the former MP for Awutu Senya East Constituency, during the Ablekuma North election rerun on July 11, 2025.
Hawa Koomson was attacked by unidentified attackers who forcibly entered the Odorkor Methodist 1 polling station during the voting process in Ablekuma North.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and police investigations are currently underway.
In a television interview on TV3 New Day, on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, Ewurabena Aubynn expressed her strong disapproval of the assault on Hawa Koomson, emphasising that violence during elections should not be tolerated.
