The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has urged all faith-based organisations to embrace innovation while staying grounded in their core values in adapting to meet the spiritual and physical needs of their members and the larger society in this ever-evolving world. Dr Bawumia said this after serving as the Special Guest at the 24th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG). The event was held under the theme "Celebrating Our Heritage: Persisting in Missions" at Abetifi in the Eastern Region on Saturday August 17. Dr Bawumia wrote on Facebook after the exercise that "While commending the leadership and members of the PCG for almost 200 years of dedicated service to Ghana, I urged the PCG and all faith-based organizations to embrace innovation while staying grounded in their core values in adapting to meet the spiritual and physical needs of their members and the larger society in this ever-evolving world." He further indicated that the government recognizes the invaluable contributions of faith-based organizations. "We are committed to working alongside you to build a Ghana where faith, peace, and prosperity abound," he said.
