President-elect, John Dramani Mahama has nominated Alban Bagbin as Speaker in the 9th Parliament.
This announcement was made by Spokesperson for the Mahama transition team ahead of swearing in on Members of Parliament on the night of January 9.
The statement further indicated that Alban Bagbin wealth of experience will further strengthen Ghana's Parliament.
Alban Bagbin was the speaker in the 8th Parliament.
