The has increased security at the Greater Accra office of the (EC) ahead of the collation of outstanding polling station results for four contested constituencies on January 5, 2025.
This heightened security follows a court order directing the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to ensure adequate protection for the during the collation process.
The is set to finalise the results for the Tema Central, Okaikwei Central, and Ablekuma North constituencies, in compliance with an order from the Accra High Court.
In a ruling on January 4, 2025, Justice Forson Agyapong of the High Court instructed the EC to collate the results from two outstanding polling stations in Tema Central and add them to the previously counted results.
