The High Court has granted the New Patriotic Party (NPP)'s application compelling the Electoral Commission (EC) to collate and declare the results of two outstanding polling stations in the Tema Central constituency.

In a ruling delivered on January 4, the court directed the EC to complete the collation process and announce the final results on or before January 6, 2025.

The decision comes amid concerns over the delayed declaration of results, which has caused uncertainty within the constituency.

Additionally, the court has instructed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to ensure adequate security measures are in place during the collation process to prevent disruptions and maintain order.
