The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has taken a swipe at President Nana Akufo-Addo for awarding state honours to certain government officials, including Bryan Acheampong and Hawa Koomson.

Asiedu Nketia questioned the rationale behind these awards, alleging that the recipients had failed to distinguish themselves in their roles.

Speaking passionately, Asiedu Nketia accused the Akufo-Addo-led administration of endorsing wrongdoing by recognising individuals he described as "looters and murderers." He argued, "We have started conferring state honours on looters and murderers.
