President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will deliver his final State of the Nation Address to Parliament on Friday, January 3, 2025, as the 8th Parliament prepares for dissolution.
In compliance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution, the address will serve as the President's final account of the state of the nation before leaving office.
The 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic will officially be dissolved on Monday, January 6, 2025.
On the same day, the 9th Parliament will convene at 11:00 PM to elect a Speaker and two Deputy Speakers.
