A tragic incident occurred on December 27, 2024, in Akyem Anamase near Oda in Ghana's Eastern Region, when Chief Inspector Godwin Beniba, a respected police officer, passed away during his wedding.
Chief Inspector Beniba, who served as the Station Officer at the Anamase Police Station, had just arrived at the Anamase Hotel, the wedding venue, accompanied by his best men.
He was eagerly waiting for his bride, Florence Debrah, who was preparing in one of the hotel rooms.
Eyewitnesses said the groom complained of dizziness shortly after entering the venue.
