The Kusaasis in the Upper East Region have unveiled a historic statue in honor of their revered overlord, Naba Abugurago Asigiri Azoko ll.
The monument, according to the Kusaasis, is a commemoration of the chief's forty years on the paramount skin of Kusaug.
It is situated at the 'Bawku Highways', a central part of the territory.
The chairman of the Samanpiid committee, Solomon Awini, explains that the monument is historic and that the residents of the area will endeavor to protect it from envious and evil people.
