Member of Parliament for Kpandai constituency in the Northern Region, Daniel Nsala Wakpal has filed a petition challenging the declaration of the New Patriotic Party's Matthew Nyindam as Member of Parliament elect for the constituency.
According to him, the parliamentary elections held in the Kpandai constituency was invalid because of some irregularities and inconsistencies contained in some of the pink sheets.
In the suit filed at the Tamale High Court, Mr.
Wakpal stated that, there were irregularities and inconsistencies in FORM 8A (Regulation 32 (7) and 39(2) Statement of Polls for the Office of Member of Parliament (Pink Sheet) for Forty-one (41) polling stations out of a total of One hundred and fifty-two (152) poling stations in the Kpandai Constituency.
