The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has categorically refuted claims circulating in a viral audio recording on social media that suggest improper use of military facilities for transporting ammunition.
In a press release dated December 25, 2024, the GAF described the allegations as false, calling for the public to disregard the misinformation entirely.
The viral audio alleged that a civilian pickup truck was allowed entry into the Magazine at the 5 Battalion of Infantry to transport boxes of ammunition to an unspecified destination.
But the GAF clarified that the vehicle in question was used to deliver a newly acquired live cow, which was subsequently quarantined before being relocated to the kraal adjacent to the Magazine.
