President-elect John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his commitment to working both within and outside Ghana to ensure a brighter and more prosperous future for the nation's youth and vulnerable populations.

The incoming president made the remarks in a Facebook post he shared on his official page following his visit with the presidents of Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, and Gabon.

Mahama underscored the need for Ghana to foster strong relationships with its geographical neighbours and friends in West Africa and across the continent.

He revealed that the engagements with the three African leaders were fruitful and touched on exploring opportunities for collaboration in trade, security, and sustainable development. "I just wrapped up an incredible visit with the presidents of Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, and Gabon as part of my commitment to fostering strong relationships with our geographical neighbours and friends in West Africa and on the continent. "My discussions with the various leaders reaffirmed our shared values and aspirations for progress across the continent. "Our conversations touched on exploring opportunities for collaboration in trade, security, and sustainable development, ensuring that our partnerships benefit not only our nations but the people we serve," Mahama stated.
