The Vice President, , could not hide his joy when a four-year-old cured leper he sponsored to Italy for treatment, Priscilla, visited him at his home on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024.
In a post shared on X on Thursday, December 26, 2024, the vice president described the visit of Priscilla, whom he met at the Weija Leprosarium, as the best Christmas gift he had received.

Bawumia expressed his gratitude to God for the successful surgery Priscilla underwent, which has made it possible for her to walk again. "I got my best Christmas gift yesterday when Priscilla, a four-year-old cured leper from the Weija Leprosarium whom I sponsored for medical treatment of her amputated leg in Italy, returned to Ghana and paid me a visit at home to thank me and show that she can now walk with her new leg.
