The National Road Safety Authority has appealed to drivers to comply with road traffic regulations to avoid accidents during and after the festivities.

The Authority asked them to avoid over-speeding, careless driving and wrongful overtaking to ensure an accident-free season.

Madam Joana Fafa Ayer, Volta Regional Director of the Authority, who made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said road safety was a shared responsibility.

She said the Authority was carrying out an operation on the theme: "Operation Comply" to ensure that drivers and other road users respect the traffic rules and regulations.
