The Industrial and Commercial Workers Union (ICU) has appealed to workers to support the new government in its quest to achieve economic recovery.

This the Union says, will ensure the government rolls out initiatives to create more jobs for the teeming unemployed youth.

General Secretary of the ICU, Morgan Ayawine issued a statement as part of the Union's message to workers to mark the Christmas festivities. "Lessons learnt and experiences gained, should guide you as workers to launch into the incoming year (2025) with greater commitment and leverage on the wind of change blowing in the country," he said.

He said workers should spearhead productivity in their organizations. " To step up your effort at productivity within your respective workplaces to help government effort towards the resuscitation and growth of the Ghanaian ailing economy," he urged.
