President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged the security agencies to take a firm stance against any action that threatens the security of the country.

n He says the country's peace is sacred and will not be sacrificed because of someone's selfish ambition.

The president made this known when he was addressing the people of Ghana with his Christmas message for the last time as president. "We must therefore condemn in no uncertain terms the unnecessary acts of violence that has tarnished otherwise an exemplary democratic exercise.

Let us not forget that seeking power is not a call to arms but a call to service.
