A member of the (NDC) Communications team, Henry Osei Akoto, has chided the government over its failure to settle its debt with the West African Examination Council (WAEC), in order to allow it release examination results.

He stated that previous governments did not have issues with settling financial contracts with WAEC to facilitate the conduct of examinations for Senior High School and Junior High School students until now.

The NDC communicator further criticised the President -led government for owing institutions that provide essential services to the nation, putting beneficiaries at risk. "Before Akufo-Addo came to power, no Ghanaian knew the government pays WAEC.

Nobody even cared about the subject because it was never an issue. "Akufo-Addo's government owed every single service provider, even the ones you never imagined, it is crazy," Osei Akoto wrote on X.
