On December 6, 2024, a celebration filled the air at the Gumanayili Palace in Tamale as 150 teenage mothers from the Northern Region of Ghana graduated from the Skills for Future (Phase II) Project.

This initiative, led by the Girls Advocacy Network with the support of the KGL Foundation, provided these young women with six months of intensive training in hairdressing, makeup, beaded product making, and soap making.

The Chief of Gumanayili and his elders attended the event, praising the organizers for equipping the teenage mothers with practical skills and starter toolkits to begin their entrepreneurial journeys.

The Chief emphasized that this initiative is a crucial step towards empowering these young women economically, enabling them to support themselves and their children.
