Ghana's First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei Owusu, has endorsed Alexander Afenyo-Markin for the position of Minority Leader in the upcoming Ninth Parliament.
Speaking to the media, Osei Owusu emphasised Afenyo-Markin's exceptional understanding of parliamentary procedures and his deep knowledge of the House's leadership dynamics.
According to Osei Owusu, Afenyo-Markin's experience and expertise would be crucial in fostering a unified and strategic approach to counter the anticipated overwhelming Majority of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Parliament.
Osei Owusu drew parallels with Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu's successful tenure as Minority Leader and Majority Leader, highlighting the importance of longevity and experience in leadership.
