The Ashanti Regional Council of Elders of the NDC Zongo Caucus is urging the youth of the party to desist from attacking government offices and officials following the party's victory in the December 7 elections.
They should report suspicious characters and ulterior motives of duty bearers to appropriate law enforcement agencies rather than taking the law into their hands.
A statement issued by the Caucus and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kumasi, emphasised the need for young people of the party to uphold rule of law even in their quest to protect state property.
It said that, as much as they had the right to stop wrongdoing by persons in the outgoing government, they must do it in a civilised manner in order not to court public disaffection for the party even before it assumes office.
