The Electoral Commission (EC) has reiterated that the parliamentary results for the Dome Kwabenya, Okaikwei Central, and Ablekuma North constituencies are invalid and unenforceable.

Speaking at a press briefing in Accra on Thursday, December 19, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa revealed that the announcement of these results was made under duress, with electoral personnel facing threats and the destruction of ballot papers during the process.

Out of 12 constituencies requiring the re-collation of parliamentary results, three-Suhum, Akwatia, and Fanteakwa North-have successfully undergone the process.

Madam Jean Mensa emphasized that the collation process in Okaikwei Central and Ablekuma North failed to follow proper procedures, further rendering the results unacceptable. "In the case of Okaikwei Central, the winner was declared without collating results from 31 polling stations.
