Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande, has lauded the leadership of the Ghana Police Service for their role in ensuring a relatively peaceful electoral process during the December 2024 general elections.

Speaking in an interview with TV3 on Friday, December 13, Mr Gbande emphasised that the proactive stance taken by the police played a key role in preventing any activities that could have compromised the integrity of the polls.

He noted that the vigilance of the police ensured that attempts to manipulate the electoral process were thwarted, thereby averting potential violence.

According to him, the professionalism exhibited by the security forces demonstrated their commitment to upholding the nation's democracy and protecting the will of the people. "The leadership of the police administration deserves commendation for their actions.
