Vincent Ekow Assafuah, the Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, who has openly shared his thoughts on the party's performance and the internal struggles that contributed to its defeat.

In an interview on Lawson TV, Assafuah revealed that despite the NPP's best efforts in Tafo, which has a voter base of around 34,000, things didn't go as planned. "Tafo has around 34,000 voters, but we distributed over 40,000 t-shirts," he said, reflecting on the massive efforts that were put into the campaign. "Despite having more than enough paraphernalia, it caused more problems than if we hadn't distributed them at all." The former minister did not shy away from addressing a core issue that he believes plagued the party's efforts. "The problem we faced, Senior, is that no one can claim the NPP didn't perform well - that's simply not true.
