The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Trobu, John Kofi Halm, has filed a legal challenge contesting the Electoral Commission's declaration of Gloria Owusu of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the winner of the December 7 parliamentary election in the constituency.

The suit names the Electoral Commission of Ghana Headquarters, the Electoral Commission Trobu District Office, and the Clerk of Parliament as the second, third, and fourth respondents, respectively.

Gloria Owusu was declared the winner with 43,789 votes, defeating John Kofi Halm, who garnered 35,147 votes.

Halm's lawyer, Nii Kpakpo Samoa Addo, is urging the court to nullify the declared results, citing alleged irregularities and inconsistencies.
