The results of the recent presidential and parliamentary elections showed a dramatic turn in Ghana's political landscape, with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) winning by a wide margin over the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in both the presidential and parliamentary races.

Several long-term and prominent MPs from the NPP were unseated by Parliamentary Candidates on the NDC ticket.

The NDC won more than half of the parliamentary seats, with 32 female MPs out of the total seats won.

This shows an increase in the number of female MPs on the side of the NDC compared to the current Parliament, which has 40 female MPs; 20 each from the NPP and NDC.
