Professor Ransford Gyampo, a political science lecturer at the University of Ghana, Legon, has called on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to implement measures to safeguard the party's future and address the challenges posed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's leadership.
During a panel discussion on TV3's Key Points, Prof.
Gyampo highlighted the potential repercussions of Alan Kyerematen's resignation from the NPP, particularly its impact on the party's performance in the Ashanti Region during elections.
He reiterated his concerns about the party's cohesion, warning that the NPP risks disintegration if its members fail to unite and take decisive action to address internal issues. "I cautioned them about Alan's departure from the party and its potential to significantly reduce their votes in the Ashanti Region, but they did not heed the advice.
