President-elect John Dramani Mahma has warned persons who will be appointed to serve in his administration whom Ghanaians expect effective and accountable leadership.

He said there is no room for complacency or unproductiveness in his government.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and his delegation on Thursday, December 12, Mr Mahama said "Ghanaians are slow to react and if they have enough of you, they will punish you.

So, I want to urge those who are aspiring to work with the new government, that it is not going to be easy, or business as usual. "It is going to be hard work.
