The Network for Women's Rights in Ghana (NETRIGHT), Women's Manifesto Coalition (WMC), DV Coalition (DV Coalition) and Affirmative Action Law Coalition have sent a congratulatory message to all the women who contested in the just ended National Elections.
According to the coalition, despite the numerous hurdles the women faced as female politicians, they managed to put up an impressive performance.
In a statement signed by all the group's Convenors, "We congratulate female parliamentarians elect and indicate our support in your role as Members of Parliament who must push for gender-responsive legislation during your term in office to advance women and girls' rights and advancement in the country.
To those who lost their seats and first timers who did not make it, we are proud of you for your resilience and determination.
