The West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) has announced that the cleaning and inspection of the 56km x 30" onshore pipeline section between Itoki and Badagry, part of the West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) in Nigeria, is progressing steadily.
During the cleaning exercise, it said, a larger-than-expected volume of liquids and debris was received at the Lagos Beach Compressor Station.
This has triggered some operational upsets at their Tema Regulatory & Metering Station requiring a temporary shutdown for safety reasons and investigation.
In a statement issued on Wednesday December 11, WAPCo expressed its gratitude to its key stakeholders for their patience during this process and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
