Ghanaian actor-turned-politician John Dumelo has opened up about the backlash he faced after venturing into politics.
Speaking on Hitz FM's Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Dumelo shared his thoughts on the stigma surrounding entertainers entering the political arena.
The Ayawaso West Wuogon Member of Parliament noted that some individuals have been dismissive of his political aspirations due to his entertainment background.
However, he sees such criticism as misplaced, especially given the diversity of professional backgrounds in Ghana's Parliament."I see it as a little bit disrespectful because you have lawyers, you have doctors, you have businessmen in Parliament," Dumelo remarked.
