After a 22-year rift, the Mantse Ankrah Royal Family has come together to celebrate their first Homowo Festival. The joyous occasion, held at the Royal Palace and Family Cemetery Museum in North Kaneshie, marked a new era of unity for the family. The maiden Homowo festival brought families from all three sections together for the first time after 22 years of dispute. The Mantse Ankrah Royal Family has three sections: Ankrah, Ayi, and Okanta, each headed by its leader. The supreme of these three is the overall head of the composite family, who is now Nii Okanta Ankrah II.
