Asante Kotoko have officially confirmed the return of striker Kwame Opoku, who has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the club, pending medical and international transfer clearance.

The 27-year-old rejoined the Porcupine Warriors after a successful spell during the 2020/21 season, where he scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists in just 16 appearances.

Opoku's performances during his initial stint with Kotoko earned him a move to USM Alger in Algeria, followed by a move to Moroccan club Olympique Khouribga.

His return is seen as a vital boost to the team's attacking options, as Kotoko look to compete for top honours this season and beyond.
