New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament and parliamentary candidate for Nsawam-Adoagyiri in the Eastern Region, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has asked President Nana Akufo-Addo to suspend the ongoing transition process.
According to him, President Akufo-Addo should focus on resolving issues affecting parliamentary results in some constituencies, including his own.
The Majority Chief Whip's appeal follows incidents of violence that disrupted the collation of results in the December 7 elections within the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency.
Speaking to supporters at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) office in Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Mr Annoh-Dompreh noted the importance of ensuring that the results for four key constituencies-Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Suhum, Akwatia, and Fanteakwa North-are officially declared by the Electoral Commission (EC) before advancing with the transition.
