President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has formally congratulated President-elect, John Dramani Mahama on his decisive victory in the December 7 Presidential Election.
This gesture follows the Electoral Commission's declaration of results, delivered by its Chairperson, Mrs.
Jean Mensa, earlier this evening.
A statement released by the Communications Directorate at the Jubilee House, said President Akufo-Addo expressed his commitment to ensuring a smooth transfer of power. "President Akufo-Addo expressed his commitment to ensurng a seamless transfer of power on 7th January 2025 and looks forward to working with the President-elect and his team to realise this goal," Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin wrote.
