The Ghana Police Service has arrested some 89 persons for various acts of violence across the nation.
Amongst these persons, 40 of them are linked to acts of vandalism, destruction of properties and looting across the nation.
According to the police, all these violent acts were committed by the suspects post-election.
At a press briefing at the national police headquarters on Monday, December 9, 2024, police say the suspects are currently in custody and will be made to face the law. "There have been limited cases of looting, vandalism and destruction of properties in some locations across the country. "89 suspects have so far been arrested in connection with various offences. 40 of these suspects are directly connected to the acts of vandalism, looting and destruction of properties.
