The Emperor Gaza International Foundation (EGIF), a leading disability advocacy organization, has extended its heartfelt congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his election victory.

In a statement issued by the foundation's CEO, Prince Charles Sackeyfio, EGIF also commended the people of Ghana for upholding the nation's democratic principles during the polls.

The statement acknowledged the Electoral Commission (EC) for its pivotal role in organising a peaceful election and urged the body to ensure a seamless transition as the country prepares for Mahama's inauguration in January 2025.

Additionally, EGIF lauded Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, for his gracious concession on Sunday, describing his gesture as a testament to the maturity of Ghana's democratic system. "We at EGIF, advocates for the rights of persons with disabilities, congratulate you on your victory," the statement read. "We wish you the very best in navigating the challenges of the global economy and addressing the pressing needs of Ghanaians." EGIF, a non-governmental organization, focuses on promoting the welfare of persons with disabilities, particularly in the realm of sports.
